As a part of fulfilling its corporate social responsibility, KDCL has focused on Sports so far. It has been running a training academy for tennis and other sports aiming to provide facilities and guidance to budding sports persons.

Vadodara Warriors Crowned Gujarat Super League 2025 Champions in Dramatic Finale
Ahmedabad, May 13, 2025 — The second edition of the Gujarat Super League (GSL) concluded with Vadodara Warriors claiming the championship title after a nail-biting 5–3 penalty shootout victory over Karnavati Knights at EKA Arena by TransStadia, Ahmedabad.

The tournament, organized by the Gujarat State Football Association (GSFA), ran from May 1 to May 13 and featured six franchise teams in a round-robin format: Vadodara Warriors, Karnavati Knights, Gandhinagar Giants, Ahmedabad Avengers, Saurashtra Spartans, and Surat Strikers.

Owned by K and D Communication Ltd (KDCL), a veteran in India’s trade fair industry, Vadodara Warriors entered the league with a vision of promoting grassroots football and youth development. Their strong campaign included dominant wins over Gandhinagar Giants (2-0), Karnavati Knights (5-1), and Surat Strikers (5-0).

The final saw both teams deadlocked at 0–0 in regulation time. In the shootout, Vadodara converted all five attempts while denying two from the opposition, sealing a 5–3 win. Key performers included top scorer Manvir Singh, midfield anchor Totan Das, and Emerging Player of the Tournament Aditya Waghela. Head Coach Salim Pathan was lauded for his strategic leadership.

This victory marks a milestone for KDCL’s sporting aspirations and signals a promising future for football in Gujarat.
